Key Points for Patients
Eligibility and Coverage Period
- Coverage extends for 12 months (July 1 to June 30 annually)
- Eligibility reassessment occurs before July 1 each year
- Patients must be assessed by Service Canada to qualify
Important Coverage Details
- Direct Billing: Patients cannot submit claims for reimbursement; all claims must be submitted directly by dental providers
- Preauthorization Requirements: Some procedures require advance approval
- Frequency Limitations: Many services have specific time intervals between treatments
